As part of their substantial organic growth we are looking to grow their testing function.

 

Software test engineer key responsibilities:

• Design, write and execute automated test cases and write test documentation.
• Develop software test tools for the laboratory in order to test product features (Power cycling tests, power sequence tests, communication tests…)
• Acting as a key bridge between development and test
• Producing clear and friendly documentation

 

Skills

• Working with development teams to organise software functionality testing.
• Develop, execute and update test plans and test cases for testing the firmware/software.
• Writing test documentation, production documentation.
• As a Software Test Engineer, you will create on the fly test and deployment scripts in shell and python or Java.
• Design and develop graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for test applications.
• As a Software Test Engineer, you will have a good understanding of testing against software that utilises: XML, JSON, APIs.
• Knowledge unmanaged (native) C++ and C in Windows. Experience developing with object-oriented programming languages, STL, Boost.
• Experience developing Windows applications using Visual Studio 2013 onwards (C++ and .NET environment).
• Minimum experience on GIT branching & merging strategies
• Experience with tools such as GIT, SVN, Jenkins, Docker.
• The ability to manage your time effectively to ensure all defects raised are verified and all fixed defects are thoroughly tested in all live software versions
• Nice to have C# in Windows.
